Seeing Chinese Lantern

This Chinese lantern was assembled from a box of broken antique lamp pieces I got for free from a local antique importer. I made a number of visits to the Oakland Museum where they were displaying a similar antique Chinese lantern, drew pictures, went home, and tackled the puzzle with judicious use of glue as needed, though most of the pieces go together via wooden slots. Once the lamp was assembled, I used images from "Seeing Chinatown" (see previous posts) and transferred them onto cloth to create the shades. The end result is fairly large, over three feet high.  Again, junk triumphs over evil and boredom!
